BPCC appoints Joe Tunney as Chief Executive Officer

Joe Tunney has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the British Polish Chamber of Commerce (BPCC).

Mr Tunney will cooperate closely with Alan Jarman, chairman of the Chamber. He will, together with the existing team be responsible for managing the development of the Chamber together with the day to day operations.

Joe, a proud Yorkshireman, has worked in finance positions since 1971 in a wide variety of industry sectors, including express logistics, automotive components, light industry, toys and software consulting/project management. Prior to joining BPCC he has worked for companies as diverse as Federal Express, Fisher-Price Toys, Quinton Hazell, GlaxoSmithKline and Janssen-Cilag.

Since 1992, he has lived and worked in Poland, holding senior finance and board positions in the innovative pharmaceutical industry. He has experienced many different business cultures and been through most type of business change. He brings to BPCC the vast experience of living and working for almost 20 years in this still rapidly developing and dynamic company.

Says Joe, “My main aim is to consolidate the already pre-eminent position of BPCC amongst business support organisations in Poland and then over the approaching year to offer even more high value events and services to our members. We are in a unique position to help both Polish and British companies to invest in and trade with Poland and the United Kingdom, and I wish to ensure that we capitalise on this position”
